Steve Taylor

Steve Taylor serves as the Deputy Director of the Research Strategy & Services Division at the University of Birmingham since August 2023, focusing on strategic changes to support the institution's goal of becoming a Global Top 50 University by 2030. With extensive experience dating back to November 2004, Taylor has held various leadership roles within the same division, including Assistant Director and Head of Strategic Research Development, where efforts led to significant investment in major strategic research initiatives. Previous roles also include Director of Strategy and Operations for Birmingham Life Sciences Park and positions in research development and management across the university. Taylor holds a PhD in Environmental Geophysics from the University of Birmingham, further enhancing expertise in driving impactful research and innovation initiatives.
