Victoria Sharp

Victoria Sharp currently serves as the Deputy Director of Operations (Research & Knowledge Transfer) at the University of Birmingham, where responsibilities include developing and delivering the Research Strategy for the College of Life and Environmental Sciences. With extensive experience in research development, Sharp has previously held roles such as Research Development Manager at both the University of Oxford and the University of Birmingham, focusing on complex research grant funding bids and leading teams to ensure effective pre-award and post-award processes. Sharp began a career in academia as a post-doctoral research scientist in endocrinology, contributing to significant research projects and publications, and has held various teaching and administrative positions throughout the academic journey. Educational credentials include a PhD in Veterinary Science/Endocrinology from the Royal Veterinary College and ongoing leadership and management training at the University of Oxford.
