Dr. David Bryant is an experienced professional in the field of automotive engineering, currently serving as the Immediate Past Chair and former Chairman of the IMechE Yorkshire Automobile Division Centre since May 2018. Dr. Bryant has been an Associate Professor at the University of Bradford since October 2012, where responsibilities include being the Head of the Department of Mechanical & Energy Systems Engineering and a Lecturer in Automotive Engineering. Research focuses on vehicle braking systems, particularly noise, vibration, harshness (NVH), and braking instabilities, garnering international recognition through numerous publications supported by automotive OEMs. Prior experience includes a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship specializing in vehicle braking systems and a Lectureship at the University of Huddersfield from 2010 to 2012. Dr. Bryant holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Automotive Engineering from the University of Leeds, obtained in 2005.
