Danielle Wilken

President at University of Bridgeport

Danielle Wilken is the current President at University of Bridgeport. Danielle has previously served as the Provost and Dean of Faculty at Goodwin University from April 2019 to May 2021. In this role, they served as the chief academic adviser for a college of more than 3,000 students and provided strategic vision and administrative leadership for three academic schools, college faculty and various committees and departments. Additionally, they served as a champion of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Goodwin’s pedagogical approach to learning, through internal and external support.

Wilken is a highly accomplished educational leader with a wealth of experience in curriculum development, program evaluation, accreditation, and faculty development. Danielle is also an expert in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and has presented on this topic at various national conferences. In their most recent role as President at University of Bridgeport, they are responsible for providing strategic leadership for the university and ensuring its financial stability. Under their leadership, the university has experienced significant growth in enrollment, fundraising, and research funding.

Danielle Wilken holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford and an MS in Health Policy and Management from Stony Brook University.
