Alan Cowen

Alan Cowen has extensive experience in health and safety roles within various universities. Alan served as the Director of Health and Safety Services at the University of Brighton starting in 2001. Prior to that, they were the Head of Health and Safety at the University of Dundee from 1997 to 2001, and a University Safety Adviser at Newcastle University from 1995 to 1997.

Alan Cowen attended the University of Leeds from 1981 to 1984, where they obtained a B.Sc Hons in Chemical Sciences. Alan later pursued a degree in Environmental Health at Leeds Beckett University from 1984 to 1987.
