Phil Thompson

Phil Thompson is an experienced fire safety professional with a comprehensive background in fire management and safety protocols. Currently serving as Fire Safety Manager at the University of Brighton since September 2004, Phil Thompson oversees fire safety training, inspections, fire risk assessments, and emergency procedures, including the management of disabled evacuation plans. Prior to this role, Phil Thompson accumulated extensive experience at East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service from 1974 to 2004, where responsibilities included various leadership positions culminating as Station Manager, along with serving as a Fire Safety Inspection Officer. Phil Thompson holds a degree and is a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE).
