Radu Ionescu

Radu Ionescu is a Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Bucharest, with expertise in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Text Mining, and Artificial Intelligence since September 2011. Radu has held various academic positions, including Associate Professor and Lecturer, as well as working as a PhD Researcher focused on similar areas. In addition to academic roles, Radu co-founded and serves as CTO for SecurifAI, where efforts are directed toward developing AI systems for real-time video analysis. Radu also leads a Machine Learning team at Veridium, focusing on continuous user authentication algorithms. Previous experiences include roles as a Research Scientist at the Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence and as an iOS Developer and Machine Learning Engineer at Sparktech Software LLC. Radu's educational background includes a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Bucharest, a Master's degree in the same field, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
