Carmine Maletta

Carmine Maletta is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Calabria, where a qualification for Full Professor was obtained in April 2017. Carmine has held various academic roles since December 2002, including Assistant Professor in the same field. Additionally, Carmine co-founded 2SMArtEST, an innovative startup focused on Shape Memory Alloy-based engineering solutions, serving as Chief Executive Officer from October 2019 until July 2025. Previous experience includes a role as a Cooperation Associate at CERN from April 2016 to April 2021 and as an Analyst at Accenture from December 2000 to December 2002. Carmine holds a PhD in Materials Engineering and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Calabria.
