Alex Sidaway - Candidate

Alex Sidaway is a PhD Candidate at the University of Calgary, specializing in Environmental Design and Electrical & Software Engineering with a focus on Climate Informatics. Prior to this, Sidaway served as an IT Leader and Program Manager for the City of Calgary from 1997 to April 2020, overseeing the Project Service Centre to support the city's IT operational needs. Earlier in the career, Sidaway worked as a Contractor in Network Engineering and Project Management for Qatargas, contributing to the strategic and operational development of Qatar's first Liquefied Natural Gas plant. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Development and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, both from the University of Calgary and the University of Regina, respectively.
