Debra Popplewell

Debra Popplewell is a Senior Research Strategist at the University of Calgary since March 2003, specializing in qualifying major gift prospects and researching various connections for projects across multiple sectors, including arts, education, and technology. With a strong background in wealth and philanthropy in Canada, Debra collaborates with various directors and mentors researchers, while managing database integrity and ensuring compliance with ethics and institutional policies. Prior to this role, Debra served as a Researcher at Razentree Consulting and as a Resource Development Associate at United Way of Calgary and Area. Debra holds multiple certificates from the University of Calgary and other institutions in areas such as Integrated Digital Media, Expressive Arts Therapy, Professional Writing, Personal Leadership, and Life Coaching, complemented by a diploma in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
