Laurent Brechenmacher

SAMS Lab Manager / Research Scientist at University of Calgary

Laurent Brechenmacher is a seasoned research scientist with extensive experience in biochemistry and molecular biology. Currently serving as the SAMS Lab Manager at the University of Calgary since January 2013, Laurent's prior roles include biochemist and molecular biologist at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where analysis focused on the soybean proteome and symbiotic interactions with Bradyrhizobium japonicum from January 2010 to December 2012. As a post-doctoral fellow at both the National Center for Soybean Biotechnology and the National Institute of Agronomic Research/University of Burgundy, Laurent employed transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic approaches to study plant symbiosis. Laurent holds a PhD, a Master's degree, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the National Institute of Agronomic Research/University of Burgundy and the University of Franche Comte, respectively.
