Chris M. I. Dacanay

Chris M. I. Dacanay, M.B.A., serves as the Senior Director of Finance & Business Operations at the University of California, Riverside, since February 2022. Previously, Chris held the position of Director of Finance at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, managing over $800 million in funds and leading a team of over 60 employees. Chris also served as the Chief Business Official for the Inglewood Unified School District, overseeing fiscal operations for a district with more than 9,000 students and a budget exceeding $130 million. Earlier roles include Senior Controller at Deloitte and various leadership positions at UC Irvine, encompassing strategic planning, financial management, and project oversight. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and additional credentials from the Fiscal Crisis & Management Assistance Team and UC Irvine, where a Bachelor of Arts degree was earned in Analytical Methods and Social Sciences.
