Rachel Mace

Rachel Mace is a Staff Research Associate III at the University of California, San Francisco since July 2021, previously serving as Staff Research Associate II at the same institution. Prior to this role, Rachel worked as a Grader/Reader for the Protein Engineering Laboratory at the University of California, Santa Cruz from March to July 2021 and conducted undergraduate research in the Bernick Lab focused on engineering yeast for progesterone production from September 2020 to July 2021. Rachel also contributed as a Student Researcher in the iGEM Competition from January 2020 to January 2021, where key responsibilities included engineering biodegradable materials, and leading biochemical and modeling work. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, completed in 2021.
