Rohit Jain

Rohit Jain is an accomplished data science professional currently serving as the Head of Data Science at the University of California, San Francisco since April 2025. Prior to this role, Rohit held the position of Head of Data Science at a cardiac health startup, where significant contributions included the development of machine learning and signal processing software pipelines aimed at enhancing patient treatment outcomes. As Director and Head of Data Science at nference, Rohit led the research and development of clinical decision support software for cardiac patients, securing four patents. Rohit's career began as a Principal Data Scientist at NeuTrace, where Rohit was instrumental in creating products for cardiac electrophysiology, followed by a role as Lead Data Scientist at Materiall, focusing on personalized recommendation systems. Rohit holds a PhD in Mathematics and an MS in Computational Science Engineering and Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin.
