Currently serving as a Senior Economist at The World Bank since September 2022 and as an Energy & Innovation Researcher at the University of Cambridge since April 2021, Daniel Navia has previously held significant roles such as Director of Sustainable Solutions at BBVA from December 2018 to September 2022, and Secretary of State for Energy in the Government of Spain from November 2016 to June 2018. Prior experience includes serving as Director General of Financial, Macroeconomic and Labour Market Policies at the Economic Bureau of the Prime Minister from December 2012 to November 2016, and various senior roles at BBVA and Banco de España, where expertise spanned central banking relations, emerging markets, and financial market analysis.
