Mihaela van der Schaar

Mihaela van der Schaar currently serves as the John Humphrey Plummer Professor of Machine Learning, AI, and Medicine at the University of Cambridge since October 2018 and is a Turing Faculty Fellow at The Alan Turing Institute since October 2016. Previously, Mihaela held multiple academic positions at the University of California, Los Angeles, including Chancellor's Professor and roles within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Additional experience includes serving as MAN Professor in the Department of Engineering Sciences at the University of Oxford and an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and both BSc and MSc degrees in the same field from the same institution.
