Billy Osteen

Billy Osteen serves as the Director of the UC Community Engagement Hub and Associate Professor of Community Engagement at the University of Canterbury, focusing on post-disaster contexts, inequality, and citizenship education. With a robust academic career, Osteen has held various positions including Deputy Head of the School of Educational Studies and Leadership and Senior Lecturer, contributing significantly to numerous educational programs and committees. Prior experience includes advisory roles at North Carolina Outward Bound School and educational positions at institutions such as North Carolina State University and Lake Tahoe Community College. Osteen holds a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University.
