Catharine Penfold Navarro

Catharine Penfold Navarro, PhD, currently serves as Program Director and Professor of Leadership for Change at Fielding Graduate University, focusing on teaching leaders committed to social justice and community impact. With extensive experience in higher education, Navarro has also held faculty positions at Trinity Western University and the University of Central Florida, alongside roles at Capella University where curriculum innovation and doctoral mentoring were key responsibilities. Previously, positions included leadership in student success initiatives at Valencia College, overseeing a Transfer Center at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, and providing academic support at the University of Kentucky. Navarro earned a PhD in Higher Education Studies from the University of Kentucky and holds degrees from Azusa Pacific University and Roberts Wesleyan University.
