Christine Ortiz

Christine Ortiz is a seasoned educator and leader with extensive experience in innovative educational practices and equity-centered design. As a Graduate Faculty Scholar at the University of Central Florida since February 2024, Ortiz previously founded and led multiple educational initiatives and consulting firms, including [ ]schools, The Ampersand School, and Lawton Chiles Preparatory School, each focused on unique approaches to school development and student empowerment. Additionally, Ortiz served as a Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, collaborating on projects that merge equity-centered design with research methodologies. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education, along with advanced degrees in Nonprofit Management and Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Florida, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
