Farshid Safi

Farshid Safi serves as the Associate Director for Teaching and Service at the UCF College of Community Innovation and Education since August 2024, while also holding the position of Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Central Florida since August 2015, after being promoted from Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education at The College of New Jersey from August 2009 to August 2015, focusing on developing prospective teachers’ conceptual understanding of mathematics and integrating technology in teaching. Farshid Safi also taught AP Calculus and Algebra II Honors/Gifted courses at Oviedo High School from August 2006 to June 2009 and held a lecturer position at the University of North Florida. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mathematics Teacher Education from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Florida.
