Keri Watson

Professor Of Art History at University of Central Florida

Keri Watson serves as the Executive Director of the Florida Coalition for Higher Education in Prison since January 2025 and has held the position of Finance and Grants Manager along with Executive Editor at Panorama, Journal of the Association of Historians of American Art since January 2021. Keri has extensive experience in academia, currently working as the Assistant Director of the School of Visual Arts and Design and as an Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Central Florida since August 2014, having previously served as an Assistant Professor at both Ithaca College and Auburn University Montgomery. Keri's expertise encompasses a broad range of art history courses, including topics on Disney art, American art, Southern folk arts, and African-American art. Additionally, Keri has been the Executive Director of the Florida Prison Education Project since January 2018, which aims to provide higher education opportunities to incarcerated individuals in Central Florida. Keri holds a Ph.D. in Art History and has a diverse educational background, including degrees in Humanities and Culinary Arts.
