Aidan Worsley

Aidan Worsley is a distinguished academic and social work professional with extensive experience in higher education and social work management. Since January 2009, Aidan has held various leadership positions at the University of Central Lancashire, including Professor of Social Work, Research Lead for the School of Social Work, Care & Community, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Law & Applied Social Studies, and Executive Lead for the UCLan Burnley Campus. Aidan currently contributes to the Department for Education and Social Work England Implementation Team, developing policy options. Previous roles include Head of Social Work at both the University of Chester and Manchester Metropolitan University, as well as Senior Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University and Staff Development Officer at Stockport Council. Aidan's foundational career began as a Senior Probation Officer with the Greater Manchester Probation Service. Educational credentials include an MPhil from The University of Manchester, an MA from the University of East Anglia, and a BSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
