Katharine Howie

Katharine Howie PhD is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur currently serving as an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Central Missouri since August 2025. Previously, Katharine held positions as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Lethbridge, and was an Academic Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Mississippi. In addition to academic roles, Katharine co-owns Dandu Artisan Kids and Outdoor Furniture LLC, a business started with Daniel Howie, focused on designing and building furniture for children and outdoor spaces. Earlier professional experience includes working as a Loyalty Program Specialist at Bass Pro Shops and a Marketing Graduate Assistant at Missouri State University. Katharine holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Mississippi and an MBA with a focus on Marketing from Missouri State University.
