Kathy Strickland is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in editing, writing, and marketing across various industries. Currently serving as the Alumni and Development Communications Manager and Editor of UCM Magazine at the University of Central Missouri, Kathy oversees a range of communications efforts, including social media campaigns and annual reports. Previously, work as a Contract Editor and Copywriter for multiple clients involved proofreading manuscripts and writing SEO-driven content. Kathy's background includes roles as a Marketing Editor/Writer at SparkFun Electronics and Voyager Sopris Learning, where efforts focused on producing educational content and launching marketing initiatives. Additional experience encompasses freelance instructional design, editorial leadership at 25 North Magazine, and teaching journalism at Colorado State University.
