Rashmi Patel

Rashmi Patel is the current interim director of human resources at the University of Chester. Rashmi has extensive experience in the field, having previously worked as the head of HR operations at Lancaster University and Nottingham Trent University. Rashmi has been instrumental in leading a number of major projects and initiatives at both universities, including the development of new leadership roles, the establishment of academic career pathways, and the implementation of new performance management and annual pay moderation processes. Rashmi is also a member of several cross-institutional committees and forums and has managed budgets for all HR resourcing and related activities.

Rashmi Patel has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management from the Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a BA(Hons) in Public Administration from Sheffield Hallam University.

They are on a team with Richard Waddington - Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Resources, & Bursar/CFO, Eunice Simmons - Vice-Chancellor & Principal, and Marcus Clinton - Principal & Chief Executive of Reaseheath College & University Centre. Rashmi Patel reports to Gyles Brandreth, Chancellor.
