Sarah Haak

Sarah Haak, PhD, possesses extensive experience in editorial positions and teaching within higher education. Currently serving as an Assistant Editor at Acre Books since August 2022, Sarah manages submissions, edits book-length projects, oversees marketing campaigns, and maintains website content, particularly on Instagram. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Instructor of Record at the University of Cincinnati since August 2019, Sarah has taught various writing courses and developed course material. In addition to editorial work, Sarah operates a writing business, specializing in copywriting, copyediting, and developmental editing, particularly in mental health and wellness. Sarah has also held multiple teaching and leadership roles in prior positions, showcasing a strong commitment to developing educational programs and supporting students in their writing endeavors. An academic background includes a PhD in Comparative Writing and Literature from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Arts in Creative Nonfiction Writing from Ohio University.
