Mary Bevilacqua is an experienced academic and professional in the fields of bioengineering and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as an Instructor at the University of Colorado Denver since March 2020, Mary specializes in Design and Prototyping for undergraduate bioengineering students. Concurrently, Mary is pursuing a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Mary previously held roles as a Biomedical Designer I at 3D Systems Corporation, where custom 3D printed surgical guides and models were created, and as a Chemist I at Veolia, focusing on analytical analysis of toxic waste streams. Additional experience includes freelance work as a Scientific Graphic Designer and positions as a Teacher's Assistant and Researcher at Saint Mary's College. Mary holds a Master of Science in Applied Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, alongside dual bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry-Biochemistry and Fine and Studio Arts from Saint Mary's College.
