Michael Ludwig, MS, serves as a Senior Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus since February 2013, focusing on cell and molecular biology to identify drug-targetable proteins for synthetic lethality with the MDM2 inhibitor Nutlin3a, along with investigating interferon receptor triplication in Down syndrome. Prior to this role, Michael was a Professional Research Assistant, employing a forward genetic approach to discover novel genes related to cellular stress resistance, working on the resistance profile of poly-A trapped clones in a mouse embryonic stem cell library. As a Graduate Student and Teaching Assistant at Bowling Green State University from August 2010 to August 2012, Michael conducted laboratory research on the Soybean-Phytophthora sojae interaction, assessing gene expression involved in soybean biochemical defense. Michael holds two Master of Science degrees from Bowling Green State University, one in Molecular Biology and another in General Biology.
