Michael Ludwig, MS, serves as a Senior Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus since February 2013, focusing on cell and molecular biology to identify drug-targetable proteins for synthetic lethality with the MDM2 inhibitor Nutlin3a, along with investigating interferon receptor triplication in Down syndrome. Prior to this role, Michael was a Professional Research Assistant, employing a forward genetic approach to discover novel genes related to cellular stress resistance, working on the resistance profile of poly-A trapped clones in a mouse embryonic stem cell library. As a Graduate Student and Teaching Assistant at Bowling Green State University from August 2010 to August 2012, Michael conducted laboratory research on the Soybean-Phytophthora sojae interaction, assessing gene expression involved in soybean biochemical defense.
