Kent Holsinger serves as Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Dean of The Graduate School Emeritus at the University of Connecticut, a position held since August 1986, overseeing all Masters and Doctoral degrees except those related to the School of Law and the Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine. Holsinger has also held various leadership roles, including Chairman of the Board of Directors at BioOne from October 2000 to December 2022 and President of multiple organizations such as the Botanical Society of America, the American Institute of Biological Sciences, and the American Genetics Association. Holsinger earned a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and a B.S. in Biology from The College of Idaho.
