Holly Deakyne

Holly Deakyne is a seasoned archivist currently serving as the Political Papers Archivist at the University of Delaware, where responsibilities include processing and describing hybrid congressional papers. Prior experience includes roles at The Winthrop Group, Inc. as an Archivist, focusing on the appraisal and processing of privately held media professional papers, and at the New-York Historical Society as Supervisory Archivist for Time Inc., leading a team in arranging and describing organizational records. Holly's expertise extends to positions at the J. Paul Getty Trust as Special Collections Archivist, where leadership involved processing European art curator Harald Szeemann’s papers, and as Project Archivist at Ohio University, where projects included the creation of digital collections and workflows for archival submissions. Additional experience includes archivist roles at Guggenheim Museum and various internships, along with an educational background featuring a BA in Art History/Museum Studies from Florida State University and an MSLIS in Archives from Pratt Institute.
