Katy Lamborn O'Connell

Katy Lamborn O'Connell serves as the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Communications and Marketing at the University of Delaware since November 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing research communications, college communications, and developing editorial strategies for key institutional initiatives. Prior roles include Senior Director of College Communications at the University of Delaware, where management of communications for nine colleges was a primary focus, and as Executive Director of Project Recover, leading strategic initiatives to locate missing individuals from World War II. Additionally, Katy has experience as an adjunct faculty member at Wilmington University, a digital media consultant, and held various communications roles at the University of Delaware and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources. Katy holds a Bachelor of Science in agricultural and natural resources education with a focus on wildlife conservation from the University of Delaware.
