Karen Gabriel

Karen Gabriel serves as an Associate Professor of English and the Director of the Centre for Gender Culture and Social Processes at St Stephen's College, Delhi University, a position held since August 1993. Responsibilities include teaching, research, tutoring, mentoring, and administrative duties. In addition to the role at St Stephen's College, Karen has held prestigious fellowships including EU International Incoming Senior Marie Curie Research Fellow at the International Institute of Social Studies from 2015 to 2017 and a Marie Curie Research Fellow at Linkoping University in 2011. Previous experience includes a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Women's Development Studies and academic training culminating in a PhD in Development, Gender, Media, Culture from the International Institute of Social Studies.
