Joachim Windolf

Council Member at University of Düsseldorf

Prof. Dr. Joachim Windolf, born in 1960, studied medicine at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, where he also received his doctorate (1986) and habilitation (1996). There he received his license to practice medicine and qualified as a specialist in surgery, trauma surgery, hand surgery and orthopaedics. He first moved from the Frankfurt University Hospital to the Hamburg-Eppendorf University Hospital before accepting a professorship for trauma surgery at the HHU in 2005 and becoming director of the clinic for trauma and hand surgery at the Düsseldorf University Hospital. From 2008 to 2016 he was Dean of the Düsseldorf Medical Faculty.
