Prof. Dr. Ricarda Bauschke-Hartung, born in 1966, studied German and Romance Studies in Berlin, where she received her doctorate in 1995 with a thesis on Walther von der Vogelweide. In 2006 she received her venia legendi in Older German Literature and Language. After a first professorship in Freiburg, she took over the chair for older German literature and language at the HHU in 2008. From 2012 to 2014 she was also Vice-Rector for Study Quality and Equal Opportunities.
