Ruwan Uduwerage-Perera Ma

Ruwan Uduwerage-Perera MA, MSc, FHEA, FRSA is an accomplished academic and practitioner in the fields of criminology, policing, and criminal justice. Currently serving as the External Examiner at The University of Law and the Director of Policing, Criminology & Justice at the University of East London, Ruwan is dedicated to enhancing educational synergy and opportunities for students. Ruwan has held a variety of senior academic roles, including Senior Lecturer and Course Leader across several institutions, and has contributed to research, teaching, and webinars as a Visiting Academic at Rashtriya Raksha University in India. Ruwan has also been actively involved with peer review for the Police Journal, membership with professional organizations such as The British Society of Criminology and the Institute of Equality & Diversity Practitioners, and served as Director of S-Team Consultancy Ltd, focusing on community cohesion and diversity. Ruwan holds master's degrees in Criminology & Criminal Justice from the University of Portsmouth and in Holocaust Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London.
