Julio Carpio is a dedicated professional in the field of nutrition and education, currently serving as a docente catedrático and Director de Escuela at the Universidad de El Salvador. With experience as a Dietista-Nutricionista at the Unidad de post-grado since April 2015, Julio Carpio has been a pioneer in the study of "Nutrición Comunitaria" within the Nutrition program at the School of Medical Technology. Since 2012, Julio Carpio has also worked as a docente at the Universidad de El Salvador and holds the position of President of the board of the Asociación Solidaria de Acción Comunitaria (ASAC), an NGO focused on educational management in food security and local development. Additionally, Julio Carpio has contributed to the Asociación Solidaridad y Acción Comunitaria (A.S.A.C) since April 1949, engaging in formal education across public and private universities and participating in the Food Sovereignty Table. Academic credentials include a Licenciatura en Dietología y Nutrición from the Universidad de El Salvador, obtained between 1978 and 1984, and further education from the same institution from 2016 to 2020.
