Chris Moran

Chris Moran is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Special Assistant to the Vice President at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences since June 2014. In this role, Chris has been responsible for writing speeches and identifying media opportunities for the Senior Vice President. Previously, Chris worked as the Director of Communications at the University of Florida, where responsibilities included storytelling, media relations, and supporting legislative priorities. Prior experience includes reporting for the Houston Chronicle and The San Diego Union-Tribune, focusing on local government and education. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and has pursued additional education at San Diego State University and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
