Yi Luo, PhD, PLA, is an accomplished academic and professional in landscape architecture, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida since August 2018 and as an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences from January 2024. Yi Luo has held significant roles such as a member of the LA CES Monitoring Committee with ASLA, Secretary/Treasurer of Sigma Lambda Alpha Honor Society-Landscape Architecture, and Track Chair for the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture. Prior teaching experience includes Assistant Professor positions at Texas Tech University and instructor roles at Texas A&M University, along with research contributions as a CSI Research Assistant at the Landscape Architecture Foundation. Education credentials include a PhD in Urban and Regional Science from Texas A&M University, a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from both Utah State University and the University of Guelph, and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
