Omaya Dudin is an accomplished evolutionary cell biologist currently serving as an Assistant Professor and leading the DudinLab at the University of Geneva, focusing on the transition from unicellularity to multicellularity in organisms. Previously, Omaya held the position of Group Leader at EPFL, investigating the pre-metazoan origins of developmental mechanisms, and was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at the Institute of Evolutionary Biology, where efforts were directed towards reconstructing animal multicellularity origins through experimental evolution. Omaya's work also includes a role as a co-founder of Karmagenes, a company that combines behavioral genetics with psychological assessment. Omaya's academic credentials include a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Lausanne, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Université Joseph Fourier.
