Samarpan Maiti

Samarpan Maiti, PhD, currently serves as a Maître-assistant in the Department of Genetics & Evolution at the University of Geneva since December 2019. Prior to this role, Samarpan worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Cell Biology with Prof. Didier Picard. Samarpan's previous experiences include a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the Institut Pasteur, focusing on immunological modulation and molecular infection mechanisms of Aspergillus, and a Senior Research Fellow role at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, where Samarpan completed a PhD in Biochemistry. The doctoral thesis centered on signal cross-talking of the mTORC2 in glioblastoma multiforme, with an emphasis on targeted therapy. Samarpan holds a Master's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from Vidyasagar University and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Midnapore College.
