Gwynne Darden

Associate Vice President For Facilities Planning And University Architect at University of Georgia

Gwynne Darden has worked at the University of Georgia since 2001. Gwynne started as a Project Manager in 2001 and later became a Senior Project Manager in 2003. From 2013 to 2015, they served as an Assistant Vice President. Gwynne then became an Interim Associate Vice President for Facilities Planning and University Architect in January 2016 and later transitioned to the role of Associate Vice President for the same department in September 2016.

Gwynne Darden holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dual Degrees in Architecture and History from Washington University in St. Louis. Gwynne also has a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including Public Service & Outreach Facilitation Academy from The University of Georgia in 2019, Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from The University of Georgia in 2018, Executive Leadership Institute Scholar from the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia in 2016, Advanced Fundamentals (Level 1B) from the Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission in 2006, and they are a Registered Architect in the State of Georgia since 2001.
