Marques Dexter

Marques Dexter, MS, currently serves as the Associate Director of Faculty and Staff Initiatives at The University of Georgia, a position held since January 2021. In this role, Marques leads efforts within the Office of Institutional Diversity to promote diverse and inclusive environments for faculty and staff. Additionally, Marques is the Co-Director of the Georgia African American Male Experience (GAAME) Program, providing guidance on program development, teaching courses, and mentoring students. Previous positions at UGA include Assistant Director of Student Initiatives and Interim Director for the GAAME Program. Marques has been involved in various capacities in student and academic support roles, demonstrating a commitment to diversity, community engagement, and educational success. Marques holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Kinesiology, with a focus on Sport Management and Policy, from The University of Georgia and has an extensive background in leadership and program coordination within higher education.
