Mónica Maldonado

Mónica Maldonado is a dedicated researcher specializing in higher education administration. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Georgia since August 2020, Mónica is engaged in state reauthorization research involving best practices for authorization renewal and the capacity of agencies to fulfill regulatory responsibilities. Mónica has supervised undergraduate researchers and presented findings at multiple conferences. Prior experiences include policy internships at SHEEO, the Institute for Higher Education Policy, and the U.S. Department of Education, along with a graduate coordinator role at the University of Maryland's bilingual literacy program. Mónica holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration from The University of Georgia, an MA from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Berry College.
