Paul Butler

Paul Butler serves as the Executive Director and CIO at the University of Greenwich, overseeing IT and Library services for over 35,000 students and 2,000 staff since 1993. Previous roles include Director of Information & Library Services, Head of Information Systems, and Head of Corporate Information Systems, with extensive experience in the management, development, and integration of enterprise systems and infrastructure. In addition to various positions focused on academic planning, statistical analysis, and systems development, Paul Butler has contributed as a visiting lecturer in applied computing. Consultancy experience includes projects with UK universities and a significant research initiative involving a partnership between the University of Greenwich and a prominent bank. Paul Butler holds an MSc in Computing and Information Systems and a BA in Architecture, both from the University of Greenwich.
