Jiayu Zheng

Jiayu Zheng is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at the University of Guelph, expected to graduate in 2024. Jiayu has gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Dr. Jennifer Murray’s AIM lab and in Dr. Sharif’s lab at the Ontario Veterinary College. Additionally, Jiayu has collaborated with graduate students in both laboratories. Prior to current studies, Jiayu worked as a waitress at Hanami Izakaya from May 2021 to April 2025 and contributed to research efforts under the supervision of graduate student Emily Minard in Dr. Boyer Winters' lab. Educational background includes a high school diploma from Bracebridge and Muskoka Lake Secondary School.
