Kenna Grant has extensive work experience in the field of health education and wellbeing at various universities. Kenna began their career at the University of Hartford in 2006, where they served as the Director of Health Education and Wellness and also as the Director of Health Education & The Women and Gender Resource Center. Kenna held these positions until May 2019. From July 2019 to December 2021, Kenna worked as the Executive Director of Student Health and Wellbeing at the same university. Kenna then moved on to the University of Connecticut as a Health Promotion Manager from December 2021 to February 2023. Currently, Kenna Grant is the Executive Director of Equal Opportunity Programs and Title IX Compliance at the University of Hartford, a position they started in March 2023.
Kenna Grant has a diverse education history. Kenna earned a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from the University of Hartford from 2023 to 2026. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the same university from 2003 to 2005. Kenna completed their Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General at the University of Connecticut from 1994 to 1998. Kenna also holds an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from Dean College, which they earned from 1990 to 1992. Kenna completed their high school education at Stonington High School from 1985 to 1990. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013. In terms of additional certifications, Kenna completed Mental Health First Aid training from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in January 2024.
