Jon McAfoos

Jon McAfoos currently serves as the Assistant AD for Cougar Productions at the University of Houston Athletics, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Jon McAfoos spent over eight years at Samford University Athletics, where responsibilities included Assistant AD for Marketing, Strategic Communications, and Broadcast Services, as well as Managing Broadcast and Digital Media. Previous experience encompasses various production roles with Down In Front Productions, LLC, and the Birmingham Barons. Jon McAfoos began the career with substantial experience in sports reporting and production, contributing to local media outlets and collegiate radio. A graduate of Westminster College with a BA in Broadcast Communications, Jon McAfoos possesses a diverse background in video production, live broadcasting, and sports journalism.
