Ayden Adler

Interim Director, Cultural Enrichment Center at University of Houston-Downtown

Ayden Adler serves as the Interim Director of the Cultural Enrichment Center at the University of Houston-Downtown since August 2020, focusing on programs that enhance academic life and celebrate cultural diversity. Additionally, Ayden is the Founder and Principal of Adler Executive Strategies, which specializes in nonprofit management solutions. Previous roles include Dean of the School of Music and Professor at DePauw University, Senior Vice President and Dean of the Conservatory at New World Symphony, Executive Director of Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Vice President of Education and Community Partnerships at The Philadelphia Orchestra, and Director for Learning Development at Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Ayden's early career included experiences as a horn player with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and academic roles at Eastman School of Music. Academic qualifications include a D.M.A. and Ph.D. from Eastman School of Music, an MM from The Juilliard School, and an AB from Princeton University.
