Dan Ko

Dan Ko is a seasoned video production professional with extensive experience in educational and media environments. Currently serving as a Video Production Specialist at the University of Houston-Downtown since December 2018, Dan previously held the role of Video Services Manager at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where management of a team of three full-time employees and over twenty part-time student workers was key. With a foundational career at Lone Star College - Kingwood as a Video Producer and adjunct professor, Dan has contributed to various college promotional campaigns and community-focused media initiatives. Additionally, teaching experience includes positions at The Art Institute of Houston in production, screenwriting, and post-production courses. Dan's earlier roles include creative leadership at Drewry Communications and technical responsibilities at Fox-7 KTBC and Activision, Inc. Dan holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film & Video Production from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
