Deborah Bordelon

SVP for Academic Affairs & Provost at University of Houston-Downtown

Dr. Deborah Bordelon is the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost at University of Houston-Downtown. Deborah began their career in 1998 as Chair and Associate Professor at Xavier University of Louisiana. In 2006, they became Dean of the College of Education at Nicholls State University. In 2008, they were named Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Governors State University. In 2018, they became Provost and Executive Vice President at Columbus State University. Deborah has been in their current role at University of Houston-Downtown since June of 2022.

Deborah Bordelon reports to Loren Blanchard, President. They work with John Hudson - Director, Center for Diversity & Inclusion, Daniel Villanueva - Vice President, Enrollment Management, and Lisa Braysen - Interim Director, Library Services.
